Around 9:30 AM this morning Shari informed me she was vehicle-less and food-less and was wondering if I wanted to pick her up and go to lunch. It took me about five seconds to agree.
We decided to get fish tacos at the Farmer’s Market. Fortunately or perhaps unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), we got a little distracted by the food at the Tastes of Egypt counter and ended up ordering a few other things as well…
Our first course was a pyramid of rice… and chicken schwarma…and curried beans…and lentil soup! It was all so delicious!
I would have been sufficiently full with just sharing that, but…
…we still decided to get our fish tacos as well. Two each. They were as tasty as ever. I will never regret a fish taco. Not ever.
We also had baklava for dessert. The best baklava I have ever had!
And then…
…the lovely people at the Taste of Egypt booth (who Shari knows) treated us to two falafels. I think my expression says it all, but clearly I was not sure how I would fit it in.
Of course, I wasn’t leaving it behind, so you know I tried.
I swear, normal is not a part of our thought process. Especially not when we are left to our own devices.
Truth be known, I like it that way.
